Yoga Fundamental Alignments with Brandon Hughes M.Ac., L.Ac., E-RYT

This class focuses on the fundamental alignments in yoga.  Starting from an active core and finding length in the spine through various movements/asanas will be a central focus. This class is designed to promote excellent balance and posture which in turn increase circulation and healing capacity. Brandon’s background in sports medicine and acupuncture provide insight and access to movements a participant may have found previously unavailable. Breath and meditation will also be used to promote harmony, homeostasis, and healing.

Join Gabrielle Phillips of Enlighten Up Wellness for a truly unique and life affirming yoga practice. With a blend of gentle to moderate yoga sequences infused with meditation, mindfulness and other wellness methodologies, Gabrielle will take you on a journey of transformation.

This class is part of Healing Point's Recovery Movement Arts program. Though this is not chair yoga, participants in our classes have included people recovering from cancer or other chronic illness, knee replacements, hip replacements, limited range of motion from injuries, and more.

“This class is very relaxing and Gabrielle’s voice is from heaven.”

“I love this class. It is a great stretch and it feels great. I actually rescheduled standing appointments so I can take the whole session!”

“Unlike other yoga classes I have tried, this is perfect for my speed. This is exactly what I need.”

“Wonderful class. I have tears in my achilles tendon and have spent months healing my leg and not able to do any exercise. This was wonderful not only for healing that injury but also for stretching my back and hips. I know I can’t come to a regular yoga class so it is so relieving to know there is a class I can come to like this. It was just the right amount challenging but never too challenging.”
